Pregnancy and your baby

From the moment of conception, life for a mother and her baby is a time of transformation, growth, adjustment and challenge.

As a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, I am passionate about supporting mothers-to-be during their pregnancy, and helping you and your new baby to resolve any issues left over from your birthing experience, with this gentle and profound therapy.

Pregnancy

Significant changes in your hormone levels and your body image, as well as cultural pressures and expectations all combine to make your pregnancy unique.

Craniosacral Therapy supports a deeper connection to your body as you negotiate the many changes that are occurring physically, emotionally and mentally during pregnancy, by helping to:

  • settle your nervous and hormonal systems

  • ease pain and tension such as back pain, pelvic discomfort, digestive problems

  • bring deep relaxation

  • build underlying energy

  • relieve stress and anxiety associated with birth and becoming a parent.

CST provides a space for quiet reflection and time to bond with the baby growing inside you.

You & Your Baby

Birth is one of our most formative experiences - something every one of us goes through.

The transition from the security of the womb to the outside world is dramatic and considerable, both physically and emotionally for your baby and you.

Craniosacral Therapy can help you both to deal with unresolved experiences associated with the birth and can offer support for:

  • early infant feeding problems including colic and reflux

  • Neck pain and stiffness

  • settling your nervous systems

  • developing good sleep patterns

  • establishing and supporting breast-feeding

  • bonding

I work with both mother and baby during a treatment, as after birth your two worlds continue to be unified.

Parents commonly bring their baby for treatment in the first few weeks following birth.
