Holistic bodywork to help release tension, trauma & stress

Craniosacral Therapy

What is Craniosacral therapy?

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a gentle and profound body therapy using touch to sense patterns of strain and tension held in your body.

It invites a slowing, settling and stilling to a state of deep relaxation where the intelligent organising forces in your body can restore and promote physical, mental and emotional well-being.

Who is CST for?

A light, non-invasive treatment, CST is suitable for a wide range of people, including mothers and babies, looking for gentle therapeutic support with a   mind-body approach.

It can help anyone experiencing physical or emotional tension and is often sought by those with chronic stress, musculoskeletal discomfort, and adults and children recovering from injury, trauma or birth.

What does a treatment involve?

A typical session involves you lying fully clothed while I place my hands on or under parts of your body, usually starting at your feet.

Often, a deep sense of relaxation is experienced as I move to different parts of your body, supporting areas of tension to release, inviting connection and flow, and helping your body and mind to slow, settle and soften.

What can CST help with?

Some conditions that commonly respond well to treatment include:

Stress

In our era of excess stimulation, our nervous systems can feel overwhelmed.

CST invites a settling of body and mind to a relaxed and restorative state.

Headaches and Migraines

CST offers holistic support for the disabling effects of headaches and migraines by understanding anatomical and physiological pathways of pain; engaging with and supporting the body's self-healing processes; and, promoting relaxation and vagus nerve function.

Anxiety

An anxious state of body and mind can leave you depleted and feeling overwhelmed

CST can help you to recharge and feel calm, connected and able to cope.

Back, Neck and Joint Pain

Overtime, physical and emotional experiences can be held in our bodies as tension and strain causing joint and muscle pain.

CST supports a softening of tense muscles and tissues and invites more flow and connection to those areas of strain and tension.

Insomnia

CST helps to balance your nervous system which often improves your sleep quality and regulates sleep patterns

Low Energy

CST offers a quiet, therapeutic space for your body and mind to reset, restore and recharge.

Jacqueline

"I have suffered from anxiety in the past and the cranial sacral therapy makes me feel very relaxed and I feel afterwards that I can calmly face the ups and downs in life.
The treatment not only calms me but helps balance out my body, a body where the hips can be tight more one side than the other, and my neck and shoulders are very stiff. Suzi helps me to balance out and to continue to feel well."
